چکیده
BACKGROUND: There are several treatment options available to reduce the post-operative sensitivity (POS) of indirect resin composite restorations. AIM: This study was evaluate effect air abrasion on delayed dentin sealing POS for MATERIALS AND METHODS: Twenty-eight patients between ages 18 and 30 were enrolled randomly assigned one two groups, with 14 teeth (n = 14) in each group. Following collection baseline pre- operative data, diagnosis caries made based clinical examination radiographic examination, all cavities prepared. Group (G1) prepared exposed airborne particles before selective etch technique used without use cementation, used. In second group (G2), during cementation. The visual analog scale at baseline, 1 day after cavity preparation (T1), week restoration cementation (T2), 3 months (T3), 12 (T4). STATISTICAL ANALYSIS USED: one-sample Kolmogorov–Smirnov test assess normality distribution parameters first, then, non-parametric distributions, Kruskal–Wallis interaction different variables. Mann–Whitney U-test then compare groups. RESULTS: Despite abrasion’s effect, there no statistically significant change scores G1 G2 highest T1, T2, T3, T4. Statistically, these differences (p 0.001). No > 0.05) found T4 or abrasion. CONCLUSION: is unaffected by restorations’

Immediate dentin sealing: a fundamental procedure for indirect bonded restorations.
UNLABELLED The purpose of this article is to review evidence-based principles that could help optimize dentin bonding for indirect composite and porcelain restorations. More than 30 articles were reviewed, most of them addressing the specific situation of dentin bonding for indirect restorations. It appears that the combined results of this data plus clinical experience suggest the need for a r...
متن کاملPost-operative sensitivity in direct resin composite restorations Clinical practice guidelines
Pain is one of the most frequent reasons for seeking dental treatment and clinical observations confirm that patients complain of dentinal sensitivity under different conditions and degrees of intensity. This is a very frequent problem after dental restorations with resin composite, even when there is no visible failure in the restoration. The aim of this bibliographic review was to identify th...
متن کاملImmediate dentin sealing improves bond strength of indirect restorations.
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM Delayed dentin sealing is traditionally performed with indirect restorations. With this technique, dentin is sealed after the provisional phase at the cementation appointment. It was demonstrated that this chronology does not provide optimal conditions for bonding procedures. Immediate dentin sealing (IDS) is a new approach in which dentin is sealed immediately following to...

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the post-operative sensitivity of occlusal restorations using different dentin adhesives performed by an undergraduate and a post-doctorate dentist. MATERIALS AND METHODS One hundred and eighty-eight molar occlusal restorations were placed in 39 patients (ages between 18 and 30) using 3 different kind of adhesive systems; Optibond FL (OBF), Clearfil Protect Bond (CPB), a...
